The world has lost a true gem. Ernie Lyons passed away Friday, March 3rd. Roger’s dearest friend, Ernie, was a true confidant, mentor, and ecourager. He was the biggest fan of Rural Roots and Roger alike. He was so thrilled to come in and “lash one back, get a rose on or have a gargle.”
Roger and Ernie plotted and planned… loved cunningly scheming for a better future. Ernie is deeply and sorrowfully missed. He touched many lives outside of and through Rural Roots. We grieve deeply with his wife Elizabeth, son Darragh, daughter Ciara and her husband Pat, as well as the extended family and friends.
With a twinkle of mischief in his eye, he loved life. He will always be remembered.
